Long daycare
At Heywood Early Learning Centre, we offer a long daycare program 5 days a week for ages 0-6 years old. What makes us special is the small number of children in each room, enabling our educators to provide the best active supervision for every child. This ensures each child's needs are met, with best practice being taken by over ratio educators. Being just a 2-room service, we value each family that becomes a part of our little community, with a family felt vibe.
Our teddies room caters for 0–3-year-olds, with a maximum of 8 children Monday - Tuesday, and 12 children Wednesday through to Friday.
Our long daycare program for 3–6-year-olds is held in our kinder room, which caters for a maximum of 16 children Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays.

Kindergarten information
We offer fully funded sessional Kindergarten for 3- and 4-year-olds 15 hours a week in the school terms. (Additional funded hours may apply for children who meet requirements).
We do Bush kinder, where the children are taken out of the service to our local reserves to experience nature-based play. We also follow sunshine circles play therapy and Montessori play. The children develop resilience, independence, social skills and confidence. With our encouragement, the children feel empowered in their abilities and eager to learn, which they carry with them when they start school. Our goal is to ensure children feel confident and prepared to take their next steps into the world.
